FOR ANSWERS TO YOUR QUESTIONS ABOUT KCACTF.

  1. Do we have to travel to enter?

  2. We are running short of money and are considering dropping KCACTF activities as part of our budget.

  3. We are a large training program offering BFA or MFA degrees and don’t see how the KCACTF festival structure serves our program’s mission.

  4. We are a liberal arts college offering a B.A. degree and don’t see how the KCACTF festival structure serves our program mission. How can we compete with the big programs?

  5. We are a community college offering an AA degree or vocational training and don’t see how the KCACTF festival structure serves our program mission. How can we compete with the big programs?

  6. We had an unpleasant experience with the Festival some years ago and don’t care to have it repeated.

  7. The Festival is controlled by a small group of people who make it difficult for people like me or programs like mine to get involved or be successful.

  8. We’ve been participating for many years and it seems like our shows never get chosen or our students never clear the first round of the awards for which they’ve qualified.  This is frustrating and beginning to drive us away from the Festival.

  9. We’ve been to the Festival for the past few years and feel the overall quality of the things we’ve seen (productions, acting scholarship auditions, design presentations, original plays, or critical writing) isn’t of a high enough standard for our program.
