The Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival is sponsoring a new two-week fellowship for faculty critics to attend the Eugene O'Neill Institute this summer during the O'Neill National Playwright's Conference.

At the Institute, the KCACTF Faculty Fellow will participate actively in what has been described as a boot camp for critics, asking them to write as many as three reviews a day, and to participate in round table critiques and discussions about writing and theatre criticism.

If you feel you are interested and qualified for this professional development opportunity, please submit a letter that details:

  1. What are your strengths as a writer and a critic?
  2. What skills do you need to work on?
  3. What are your strengths as a teacher?
  4. How would two weeks at the O' Neill benefit you as a teaching artist?

Selection for the Fellowship will be based on a demonstration in the materials submitted of the following criteria:
