DESIGN & TECHNOLOGY
DTM EXPO DISPLAY INFORMATION
ATTENTION!: The design MUST have been completed in the calendar year before the current festival. (January-December) Designs in progress are not eligible and you will be disqualified if discovered at the festival.
You must have been a student in pursuit of a degree at the time of the design.

Display Area
o Panels will be approximately 3-0 wide by 6-0tall. This is not a hard and fast rule. The display space is different every year and we will try to accommodate everyone.
o There will be either tables, cubes, music stands or chairs for designs. Please notify the Design Chair your needs and we will attempt to accommodate you. Be prepared to adjust.
o Please use only thumbtacks, small nails, or tape to secure your display. No screws. We will have some emergency fasteners available. Please plan to bring your own so that you know you have what you need.
o We do not provide extension cords or lights. Plan accordingly.

Be flexible in your display.
o The display area is different every year. We are hoping you will be flexible in all arenas of presentation. Plus we are maintaining a fair balance between designs.
o The National Guideline is 4-0 by 4-0. Be ready to conform to this if you move on. This varies slightly from year to year so be flexible. The display area is dependant on the room size and the number of entries.
o The variance will only be by inches not feet. Be ready and respectful of others. Dont be a space hog.
o Be sure that your display does not extend past the panel significantly. People need to get by.

Schedule
o The Design room will be open at 10am on the Monday of festival,
o Upon arrival, check in first at the design registration table. If you have registered your design previously, a space will already be assigned to you with a card with your Name and design information on it. IF the information is incorrect let us know and a new one will be created.
o You may request a different display area if available.
o You must install your display by 3pm on Monday.
o A Schedule of response times will be posted at the Meet and Greet that night in the Design Room.
o You must be present to represent. If you cannot be at the assigned time contact Ronn Campbell ASAP.
o You will have approximately 4 minutes to present. The Respondents will then have another 4 minutes to respond to you.
o All designs MUST be picked up by 2:00pm on Friday of festival . We will attempt to return any left over or lost designs but we can not guarantee that they will make it home.
o All award notification will be at the Awards Ceremony Saturday night. The Design & Technology Chair will need to see all KCACTF Winners directly after the event.
